You go girl! I strongly encourage you to use the hypnobirthing technique and other ideas to have a successful VBAC (walking in labor, physical fitness during pregnancy, positive mental attitude). I am an ob-gyn with sixteen years’ experience, have done a ton of VBACs and I’m sending you successful VBAC thoughts. I’m working on a blog post for VBAC’s in prep for an interview next week. Your motivation has inspired me to really make it a good one!

Thanks so much, Monica! I wanted a natural birth with Dessa but it didn’t work out. At the end of the day, though, no regrets. We’ve got our babies and that’s all that matters =) Hope all is well!

I’m excited to know how the HypnoBirth thing works out. I wish that I had known about it before having both my kids. I’ve heard nothing but great stuff, too, and have been curious.
I had to have C-sections with both my kids. My daughter tried to come 2 months early. My doc did a great job of holding her off for a month, but then my amnio went to low and tada! With my son, my water broke but no contractions…so tada again! I really wanted to try a VBAC but it didn’t work out. However, while I was preparing to have one my biggest fear was of my uterus rupturing since I’d already had a C-section. I think this was a fear pushed by the doctors who didn’t want to be responsible if it did happen. I really wish I’d been able to do the VBAC, so I wish you the best of luck and know you will share it all no matter what.
